2015 National Leadership Conference

 

The 2015 National Leadership Conference took place in Chicago, Illinois, from June 29th through July 3rd. Elgin FBLA sent six members to the National Leadership Conference. 

 

2015 State Business Leadership Conference

 

Each year Elgin attends the State Business Leadership Conference in Portland, Oregon. Twenty-six members attended and brought back many awards including Chapter of the Year for 2A Schools for the 23rd year. Eleven members were eligible to compete at Nationals at Nashville, Tennessee.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Blue Mountain Regional Skills Conference

 

Elgin FBLA attended the Regional Skills Conference in La Grande, Oregon, on February 4, 2016. The chapter took twenty-six members to compete in a number of tests and speaking events. Elgin earned a total of twenty-one awards. Those who placed and those who are completing chapter projects are on their way to SBLC.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Chapter Meetings

 

The officer team holds meetings twice a month during activity period to discuss the progress and issues of the chapter. During this time the officers organize activities such as fundraisers, work on the Program of Work, brainstorm ideas that would better our chapter and to decide on new ways to maintain the great reputation of the Elgin Chapter. Our Program of Work is created during these meetings. We also inform the chapter members of the dates of upcoming events such as regional competitions and the State Business Leadership Conference.
